Tender description

Public Health England (PHE) is planning to appoint ABL Europe SAS as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) to provide comprehensive services supporting vaccine development through its manufacturing. The aim of the project is to establish manufacturing conditions based on existing knowledge of Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) viral vector production and quality control (QC) testing, to support Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) release of drug product by end of Q1/early Q2 2021. The supplied vaccine will be used in a Phase 1 clinical study. The requirement covers supply of cGMP compliant investigational medicinal product in support of an Innovate UK funded Research project. The project requires establishing manufacturing conditions based on existing knowledge of Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) viral vector production and quality control (QC) testing, to support Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) release of drug product by end of Q1/early Q2 2021. The supplied vaccine will be used in a Phase 1 clinical study. The chosen partner must be able to comply with current EU regulations and GMP requirements globally for the cGMP manufacture of viral vectors for use phase 1 clinical development. The timescales of the project are extremely tight.
