We are looking for a Legal Assistant within Children's Social Care to work within the Legal team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a legal office handling public law care matters respectively. Local government experience would be a bonus. The successful candidate must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground and be able to work proactively in a busy team. The candidate will need to be able to work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The role will primarily involve dealing with Private law applications together with Discharge of care orders, PLO matters together with supporting solicitors with Care proceedings. The rate of pay will be Band F £15.36 per hour PAYE. The role is 37 hours and based at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE Candidates need to be readily available for an interview and if successful start immediately.
