LED lighting project at Servite RC Primary School

Tender description

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) would like to commission an experienced supplier for the provision of LED lighting system at Servite RC Primary School (252 Fulham Rd, Kensington, London SW10 9NA) The Council is seeking to upgrade / replace the current lighting system at Servite RC Primary School with an LED lighting system which will include both fittings and lamps, under an energy efficiency and spend to save initiative. It is envisioned that the majority of the existing lighting will be replaced on a like for like basis. As part of the tender submission, Contractors have been asked how they intend to deliver the service and achieve the standards specified. The successful tenderer’s response will become part of the contract and will be monitored accordingly together with the specified standards. The Council is committed to tackling climate change and securing a clean, safe and environmentally sustainable future to everyone living, visiting and working in the borough. In RBKC the current climate change commitments are currently reflected through the joint 2016-2021 Air Quality and Climate Change Action Plan (AQCCAP) and the 40% in-house carbon reduction target (this includes all the Council’s operational buildings and operations). In October 2019, the Council announced that is adopting two new targets: The Council’s operations and buildings to be net zero carbon by 2030 and the borough to become carbon neutral by 2040. This project builds on the existing Air Quality and Climate Change Action Plan (AQCCAP) which aims to improve the energy efficiency in schools and draws on good practice to help schools reduce their energy consumption within their buildings to achieve cost and carbon savings.
