Tender description

NRW is seeking to award a contract for the supply of a CHN Analyser and 2 pressurised fluid extraction (PFE) Systems to our laboratory in Swansea University. Supply of a CHN Analyser to analyse various compounds including carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen to the requirements set out in the European Union’s Water Framework Directive (WFD) and marine strategy framework directive. NRW’s Laboratory has an immediate requirement to purchase this to asset replace older systems that have reached the end of their guaranteed operational lifetime, to ensure delivery against the directives is maintained. Supply of 2 pressurised fluid extraction (PFE) systems that will provide a means to extract a wide range of organic compounds, including known regulated environmental pollutants. These pollutants will include (but not be limited to) organochlorine pesticides, organophosphorus pesticides, synthetic pyrethroids, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and endocrine disruptors such as estrogens (hormones), triclosan and bisphenol A.
