Tender description

This tender is for the supply, delivery, installation and qualification of: — 2 vertically stacked grade C mini synthesis hotcells, — Grade A (LAF) dispensing hotcell with Grade A (LAF) material introduction chamber, — dispenser system along with and ancillary components (such as balance, dose calibrator and label printer). As a member of the UK Dementia Platform network, Newcastle University has been expanding its capability in this area, in the form of a GE 3T combined PET-MRI system that was installed at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality (CAV). Under the second phase of growth, a new clinical production and experimental radiochemistry facility will be initiated alongside the scanner at the CAV to service the PET-MRI programme. To support the development of Phase II plans, synthesis and dispensing hotcells are required so that an innovative clinical PET imaging programme can begin. Installation of this dedicated hotcell system in the existing clean room in the Bedson building will realise this ambition. Synthesis hotcells will house automated radiochemistry platforms necessary for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, while the dispensing hotcell will house a formulation/fractionation dispenser. This development will lead to the production of a range of fluorine-based radiopharmaceuticals that meet the requirements of EU-GMP, and can be administered to patients. This tender is for the supply, delivery, installation and qualification of: 2 vertically stacked grade C mini synthesis hotcells, Grade A (LAF) dispensing hotcell with Grade A (LAF) material introduction chamber, dispenser system along with and ancillary components (such as balance, dose calibrator and label printer), a full size hotcell maybe purchased as an option if the budget allows.
