Informed Making Choices - Information and Advice - Key Strategic Partner

On 21 January 2020, Sutton Council will be hosting a Market Engagement Event for Making Informed Choices. Making Informed Choices is one of the Council’s priorities for the next five years, as set out in Ambitious for Sutton (the Council’s corporate plan). The vision for this priority is for individuals, families and communities being able to access a diverse range of information, advice and guidance to make informed choices and sustain change. Through engagement with a range of key stakeholders, an approach to delivering on Making Informed Choices has been developed. This approach aims to improve the outcomes of individuals, families and communities in the borough through raising awareness of the array of services in the borough (and those that can be accessed regionally and nationally), improve access to the services and further develop stronger integrated working to improve the customer journey. The aim of this Market Engagement Event will be to provide further information and detail on the Making Informed Choices approach and to set out, subject to approval, our future commissioning intentions. Subject to approval, the future commissioning intentions include awarding a Key Strategic Partner to support and manage the delivery of information, advice and support. This would include information, advice, advocacy and support services and should include other functions to ensure our key cohorts are able to make informed choices in relation to financial and welfare matters, health and well-being choices and provide support for carers and their families. The new provider will be expected to work alongside the Council to implement and achieve the priorities identified under this theme.
