West Hampshire CCG is seeking to direct award a contract to Sanctuary Housing Society for the provision of a Mental Health Sanctuary (Crisis House). The owners of the building, Sanctuary Housing Association, are also one of a handful of mental health specialist providers of care and support operating in Hampshire. Following the re-procurement by Hampshire County Council specialist Mental Health Housing and Support contracts in 2016, Sanctuary have provided the mental health specialist services in the West Hampshire patch. Sanctuary Housing association therefore has an existing infrastructure of senior management and bank staff already working in the locality. Given that the funding for this project has been awarded through NHSE for an initial 18 month period, it is anticipated that the contract offered will only be for 18 months with the option of extending for a further 18 months. The long term commissioning intentions for this service will be reviewed during the contract term. Finance – annual costs will be 375 000 GBP to 425 000 GBP depending on activity fluctuations.
