Tender description

The goal of the Land Facility is to promote stability, inclusive growth and responsible investment by promoting more effective, efficient and equitable rural and urban land governance. The aim of the programme is to help build basic capacity and systems and mobilise the necessary political support, so governments can implement and resource sustained land governance reform. The focus of the programme is on central land administration policy and systems and the political process needed to implement and sustain reforms. The UK's Department for International Development (DFID) will be seeking suppliers to deliver 2 components under a new land platform titled ‘Land Facility’. The first component is for a ‘Land Reform Facility’ and the second for a ‘Decision Support Unit’. It is currently anticipated each component will be facilitated through separate contract agreements. Each component will be relevant to suppliers with expertise and experience in: (a) the land sector; (b) governance and political economy engagement; and (c) monitoring and evaluation. It will run for 7 years and will work in up to 10 countries in Africa depending on size and needs.
