Tender description

To establish an embedded college (University of Chichester International College, ‘UCIC’) on the University of Chichester campus, to support direct recruitment and the progression of international students, including through the operation of pre-sessional and foundation courses. The University’s strategic plan includes a commitment to extending our international learning community and adding to our wide and inclusive methods of enabling higher education for all. In addition to the current range of undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeship opportunities, we recognise that entering higher education in the UK requires support and mechanisms for conversion and transition. To further develop our capabilities and enhance our distinctive offer, we are seeking a partner to help develop our international student recruitment. The partnership will: Create an embedded pathway college on the campus of the University for the delivery of English language programs, international foundation year programs and pre-masters programs. Develop an attractive pathway curriculum, with appropriate courses, which are suitable to both institution and the market. Recruit suitably qualified international students onto these programs and for direct entry into the University (subject to students meeting the appropriate entry requirements). The University has the facilities and capacity to accommodate and enable a significant international college and to subsequently welcome students into the University’s existing and future education systems. We expect that the partner will enable direct international recruitment, alongside recruiting to and managing the operation of the embedded college. We expect that this will develop to encompass International Foundation Year (IFY) International First Year (IY1) and potentially International second year (IY2), Pre-sessional English (PSE), Pre-Masters and Pre-Top-up.
