Design and Build of 250kW of Solar PV

Tender description

This Invitation to Tender is part of the information package for contractors competing for the tender shortlist of works contractors, and where required, other services and specialist works for the project associated with Design and Build of 250KWp of Solar PV for Tipperary County on three separate buildings. It should be read in conjunction with the Contract Notice; the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire and the Preliminary Design Drawing. A Structural Engineer has been appointed to carry out a structural report and a condition assessment of the 3 buildings to confirm the buildings are suitable to install the PV systems. If for any reason any of the roofs are deemed unsuitable for PV alternative sites including both roof top and ground mounted systems will be investigated to bring the total installation to 250kWp. Tipperary County Council, (the Council) is seeking to appoint an experienced works contractor (the Contractor) to design and build a total of 250kWp over three buildings owned by Tipperary County Council subject to the structural engineers report. The works include the following elements:- • Design and build of 3 separate PV arrays owned by Tipperary County Council • The Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) under the Health, Safety and welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations. • The Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor Design Stage (PSDS) under the Health, Safety and welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations. • Installation of all ancillary equipment including G10 relays, inverters and monitoring and display equipment • All electrical connections • Indicative drawings attached. Works Contractors short-listed for the tender stage will have to demonstrate experience and the capacity to undertake works of the following nature, and also demonstrate competence and experience of acting as PSCS and PSDS under the Health, Safety and welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.
