Tender description

On the 29th September 1615, King James I signed the royal charter which brought Edward Wilson’s School in Camberwell into existence. Over 400 years later and 40 years since its relocation to Surrey, Wilson's is one of the country's most successful state-funded selective boys' Schools. The School welcomes boys from a wide variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds; over forty languages are represented in the School and all the major religions. The diversity and richness that this brings is regarded as a real strength of the School. The expectations of the pupils at the School in terms of achievement and behaviour are very high. This level of expectation in terms of performance feeds through to staff and contractors. The School is looking to appoint a company to manage its cleaning and Warden (Caretaker) services. The contractor should have a proven ability in managing both of these provisions and be able to demonstrate an ability to recruit, train and retain staff in the Surrey area. Detailed job profiles for the Wardens will be provided as part of the ITT documentation and you will be asked to provide references for other Schools where you deliver a similar service. The Warden Service is provided 7 days a week.
