Luton Council Freelance Events Project Manager

Luton Council seeks a freelance Events Project Manager for its VE 75th Anniversary event featuring Luton International Carnival being held on Friday 8th May 2020. The Events Project Manager will support the development and delivery of the VE day event in partnership with UK Carnival Arts Centre (UKCCA) ensuring that the event is delivered within timeframes and budgets and meets the strategic objectives of Luton Council and their vision for VE 75 in Luton which also forms part of Luton’s International Carnival. The project manager will need to be able to demonstrate extensive project management and events experience and understand both artistic excellence and the infrastructure needed to deliver this vision. The project manager will need excellent stakeholder management experience with an in-depth understanding of Luton’s communities. Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders is essential along with the ability to be able to secure sponsorship and other partnership arrangements. It is hoped to begin the contract from late January 2020 until mid-May 2020. The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 20th December 2019. Keywords: Organiser, Event, Project Manager
