Tender description

A framework agreement in multiple lots for the manufacturing and/or supply of enclosures (including glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) risers, GRP Meter Boxes, Metal Overboxes, large GRP housing for PRS stations) and associated equipment and services for Gas Networks Ireland. For more information, please refer to PQQ document. Lot 1: A single party framework agreement A single party framework agreement for the supply of domestic GRP Meter Boxes, GRP Overboxes and service riser covers, incl. spares. All materials used in the construction of Meter Boxes, Overboxes and risers are to conform to the requirements of class II materials under B.S. 476-7 or equivalent. Meter boxes shall comply with the latest GNI specification DO-DS-S-MB-001/DO-DS-S-MB-002/DO-DS-S-MB-003: Glass: (E) Glass conforming to the requirements EN 14020-1 6 mm fibre or equivalent. Colour: White Lot 2: A single party framework agreement A single party framework agreement for the supply of Metal Overboxes. The Overbox is intended to fit over existing GNI recessed Meter Boxes (MK 1 and MK 2 designs) which have been subject to frame damage. The Overbox is to be screwed into the inside of the existing meter box in order to provide a new sealed meter box unit. The Overbox shall be manufactured from a suitable metallic material, including stainless steel hinges and have a suitable coating to prevent corrosion – the Overbox shall be suitable for Irish outdoor weather conditions for a minimum period of 10 years. Lot 3: A single party framework agreement A single party framework agreement for the supply of GRP and/or PVC Bends and riser sleeves for enclosing PE gas services underground and on wall risers. The sleeves and bends are to be made from GRP, PVC or equivalent material. The riser sleeves fit over the above ground section of the PE service riser to provide protection. The PE service pipe also fits inside the bend (underground) and it allows for the correct bend radius on the PE service pipe and the correct depth of cover for the service pipe. Lot 4: A multi-party framework agreement A multi-party framework agreement for the supply of GRP enclosures including small C&I wall-mounted enclosures and large housings for PRS Stations, spare parts, delivery, installation and associated services. This lot is divided into 2 sub-lots: Sublot 4A – Small GRP Enclosures including Small C&I wall-mounted enclosures; Sublot 4B — GRP large housings for PRS Stations, spare parts, delivery, installation and associated services. Large GRP housings shall comply with GIS/PRS35.
