Tender description

This invitation to tender (ITT)) is inviting tenders for insurances coverage and associated services as required by Wiltshire Council (the Contracting Authority). Wiltshire Council’s current insurance cover is due to expire on 31.3.2020. Cover is currently provided for general insurance services. The requirements are divided into lots. Tenderers can apply for single lots or combination of lots. Tenders are invited for the insurances of Wiltshire Council as detailed in this tender document for the period commencing the 1.4. 2020. Procurement route to be used. The procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Specifically, the Contracting Authority will be using the open procedure. Basis of award Contracts will be awarded by the Contracting Authority on the basis of the most economically advantageous bid. Evaluation will consider criteria such as price, claims handling, value added service being considered. Details of the contract award criteria are given within the tender pack. Duration of award The Contracting Authority proposes to enter into one or more contract(s) for a maximum period of 3 years (with the option to extend for a further period of 2 years) with the successful tenderer(s) (Supplier). Contract start date Contracts will start on 1.4.2020. Tender structure The services have been divided into lots and tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the following lots: Lot 1) Property damage; 2) Industrial and commercial property; 3) Leasehold property; 4) Contract works; 5) Computers; 6) Terrorism; 7) Fidelity guarantee; 8) Casualty (employers’ liability, public and products liability, hirers’ liability); 9) Officials’ indemnity; 10) Professional indemnity; 11) Medical malpractice; 12) Motor fleet; 13) Personal accident and travel; 14) Engineering inspection.
