Tender description

This RFT document relates to ‘Builders Daywork Rates 2019’. The works will be mainly in relation to maintenance works and minor renovation works. The work can involve a wide variety of activities as would be expected on a large campus including; carpentry, repair of building fabric, roof, footpaths, roadways and drains, setting up for events, moving furniture/equipment, minor construction projects etc. The intention is to make the appointment for an initial period of 1 year with provision for a maximum of two 1 year extensions depending on work performance and available funding. Whilst every effort has been made to provide comprehensive and accurate background information, requirements and specifications, Tenderers must form their own conclusions about the solution needed to meet the requirements set out in this RFT. All information supplied by Tenderers may be treated as contractually binding on the Tenderers if accepted by the Institute. No commitment of any kind, contractual or otherwise shall exist unless and until a formal written contract has been executed by or on behalf of the Institute. Any notification of preferred bidder status by the Institute shall not give rise to any enforceable rights by the Tenderer. The Institute may cancel this public procurement competition at any time prior to a formal written contract being executed by or on behalf of the Institute. The Institute does not bind itself to accept the lowest price or any Tender.
