Tender description

Tender for a framework contract for the provision of tree maintenance and tree works emergency response service within the Derbyshire boundary. The contract is to supplement the Council’s current in-house tree surgery team. The Council intends to run a further competition from the framework for all maintenance work that cannot be completed by its own staff. Services will be required at a range of different sites throughout Derbyshire, including but not limited to, schools, libraries, parks, highways, verges, open spaces, commercial property sites, community centres and residential estates. A maximum of 4 contractors will be allocated to the emergency lot who will be called upon when the Council identifies that extra cover is required to assist the in-house tree surgery team. Contractors will be contacted in turn (with ranking based on their initial response to this tender) to assess their availability to provide standby cover and response to emergency works. Derbyshire County Council are seeking to implement a framework to supplement their in-house tree surgery team. The Council intends to run a further competition from the framework for all work that cannot be completed by its own staff. Services will be required at a range of different sites throughout Derbyshire, including but not limited to, schools, libraries, parks, highways, verges, open spaces, commercial property sites, community centres and residential estates. A maximum of 4 contractors will be allocated to this lot. This lot will be called upon when the Council identifies that extra cover is required to assist the in-house tree surgery team. This may be for any number of reasons but will include, for example, when the Council receives weather reports of incoming storms.
