Supply and Management of Liquid Oxygen

Tender description

To help Southern Water understand the whole-life cost for the Supply and Management of Bulk Liquid Oxygen, Southern Water are requesting information from the supply market to confirm the costs for; ● Installation of pressure vessels, ● Bulk supply of Liquid Oxygen, ● Maintenance, and ● Removal of pressure vessels. Southern Water currently receive bulk supplies of Liquid Oxygen to two sites, Burham Water Supply Works (Kent) and Hardham Water Supply Works (Sussex). Southern Water's annual volume across both sites is approx. 450 tonnes. (Both sites currently receive approx. 21 tonne bulk deliveries, every month). Southern Water use Liquid Oxygen as the source of oxygen to the ozone plant – converting O2 to O3. The ozone plants were installed as part of a pesticide management system along with granular activated carbon (GAC) in the early 1990’s.
