Tender description

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has a requirement to provide through-life support for workshop equipment and technical containerised systems. Currently, equipment is procured and supported using traditional mechanisms using a variety of small and medium sized contracts. The Authority would like to reduce the number of contracts and understand industry appetite to innovate and provide alternative options. Provision of goods and services to Operational Infrastructure Workshop portfolio of equipment. Requirement is for through life support but there may be opportunities to introduce new equipment or conduct post design services. The expected services include: — responsibility as design authority, — management of equipment safety, — post design services, — through life support including maintenance and supply of spares, — user single point of contact and CONDO support to operations. Supported equipment includes: — wood and metalworking machinery, welding and cutting equipment, — pressure washers and steam cleaners, — floor scrubbers and sweepers, — warehousing equipment, — garage and vehicle test equipment, — lifting equipment and accessories, containerised offices and stores, containerised specialist capabilities including power pack repair facility and machine shops. The Authority is prepared to work with a prime or separate work under 2 distinct areas: containerised systems and workshop equipment.
