Tender description

The Council is seeking intelligence from the market via completion of a supplier questionnaire which needs to be submitted by 12 noon on the 1.3.2019 and can be accessed at www.supplyhertfordshire.uk The Council has a contract for the "provision of bulking, transfer and waste haulage for local authority collected waste" and currently bulks and transfers residual Local Authority Collected Waste (LACW) from Waterdale transfer station (Watford, WD25 0PR), Bury Mead Road (Hitchin, SG5 1RT) and Stevenage Borough Council Depot (Stevenage, SG1 2ET). The Council currently does not have any sites, in their ownership or under contractual arrangements, near the east of the county capable of accepting and storing residual LACW ready for onward transfer. Existing arrangements for the disposal of residual LACW in the east of the county are expected to end in December 2019. The Council is now seeking intelligence from the market via this PPME. The purpose of the Council’s pre-procurement market engagement process is to allow and enable potentially interested organisations with appropriate expertise and relevant experience to: — identify current or potential residual LACW storage and transfer facilities within reasonable distance for direct delivery from BoB and EHDC, — inform the Council of current available facility capacity, facility specifications and opening hours.
