Tender description

Provision of ticketing agency services. The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (RBG Kew) intends to award a contract for the promotion and sale of tickets, and associated services, for day visitor admission to the botanic garden at an estimated value of 267 000 GBP. This is a 20-month maximum extension of an existing arrangement. RBG Kew are undertaking an extensive review of our visitor facing systems, which includes the provision of ticket agent services, in order to determine potential approaches to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. The extension (with the incumbent) will provide the time to properly determine our future requirement and to enable a tender to be drafted and competed in late 2019/early 2020, which will allow future bidders to submit proposals for the new delivery model. This notice is not a request for expressions of interest so please do not apply to be invited to tender. This notice advises that RBG Kew has decided to negotiate a contract with the named company on a single source basis, and is published for reasons of transparency.
