Tender description

The current leisure management contract is due to terminate on the 31.3.2020. The Council is proposing to extend the contract by an additional ten (10) year period. The parties are also proposing to agree revised service standards and improvements within the original contract and update the financial model accordingly. The leisure management contract includes all management aspects for the effective and efficient management of the Council’s three leisure centres and golf course. 2 of the leisure centres were built under PFI methodology and the Contractor will be responsible for discharging the Council’s rights and responsibilities under the PFI agreement. The third leisure centre is a dual use centre on a school site and the Contractor will be responsible for discharging the Council’s rights and responsibilities under the joint use agreement. The Contractor will also be responsible for providing the Council’s health and wellbeing services, including but not limited to, GP referrals, falls prevention, obesity and weight management, cardiac rehabilitation and workplace health.
