Provision of services for the preparation of a Climate Change Adaptation Sectoral Plan for the Water Quality and Water Services Infrastructure Sectors

Tender description

The Climate Change Sectoral Adaptation Plan for Water Quality and Water Services Infrastructure will identify climate-related changes and impacts which have the potential to give rise to wider and unacceptable sectoral impacts, prioritise ongoing and potential future climate impacts in the context of sectoral and policy objectives/targets, and examine those changes and impacts considered a sectoral priority. The Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government invites responses to this Request for Tenders for the provision of the services, which include: • Working closely with the Plan’s Sectoral Adaptation Team to oversee and assist with the Plan’s preparation; • Preparation of an impact screening for Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA), ensuring compliance with the Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitats Directives respectively. • Carrying out the necessary research to facilitate sectoral climate impact screening, prioritisation and priority impact assessment as set out in D/CCAE’s Sectoral Planning Guidelines • Preparation of a Draft Sectoral Adaptation Plan for full public consultation including relevant press and media coverage. In order to allow for public consultation and finalisation of the Plan. • Supporting the Contracting Authority in relation to the consultation requirements.
