Tender description

North Somerset Council is a unitary Authority based to the south west of Bristol. The council covers an area of approximately 380 square kilometres and has a population of circa 210k. The main settlements are Weston-super-Mare and three smaller towns of Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead. The council is looking at options for the re-provision of its Parks and Street Scene services from 1 April 2020. The main services required are Street Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance, Sea front Cleaning and Arboricultural works. The services include for approximately 1,150 km of highway cleansing and the maintenance of approximately 1,100 landscape areas including several beaches across North Somerset. As part of its pre-procurement phase the council would like to discuss potential service delivery and contracting models with Companies with a proven track record in providing Street Cleansing and / or Grounds Maintenance Services. If you would like to be considered for the opportunity to meet with the council, please complete and return the attached form before 7th February. The council will use the returned forms to select a range of companies to invite to a meeting. The council is publishing this notice for the purposes of pre contract market engagement.
