Tender description

Tender for the provision of insurance services divided into lots with tenderers being invited to bid for all or any of the following lots: 1) Property (excluding Industrial Commercial Property); 2) Industrial and commercial property; 3) Combined liability; 4) Motor fleet; 5) Group personal accident; 6) Engineering; 7) Fine art/heritage; 8) Package Lot — Lots 1, 3 and 4. The Council proposed to enter into 1 or more contract(s) for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a period of 2 further years. Property Damage (General Properties and Contents, Flats, Housing Properties, Bridges); Works in Progress; Business Interruption – Gross Revenue; Business Interruption – Additional Expenditure; Computers; Money; Fidelity Guarantee; Special Property All Risks; Theft. Buildings and Loss of Rent on premises. Cover required - Fire; Lightning; Explosion; Aircraft; Earthquake; Subterranean Fire; Riot/Civil Commotion; Malicious Persons; Storm; Flood; Freezing water in fixed water or fixed heating systems & water escaping from washing machines, dishwashers, fixed water or fixed heating systems; Oil escaping from a fixed heating system; Theft or attempted theft; Falling aerials or satellite receiving equipment, solar panels, wind turbines and security equipment, their fittings or masts; Accidental breakage of glass in doors or windows, ceramic hobs, sanitary ware and solar heating panels fixed to and forming part of the building; Accidental damage to drains, pipes, cables, and underground tanks used to provide services to or from the buildings; Falling Trees or branches, telegraph poles, pylons or lamp-posts; Impact; Subsidence or Ground heave or landslip; Accidental Damage; Terrorism via Pool Re. Employers’ Liability; Public and Products Liability; Officials Indemnity; Libel and Slander; Land Charges; Public Health Act; Professional Indemnity. Vehicles owned, leased and operated by the Insured including vehicles on hire or loan for which the Insured becomes responsible. Accidental Death or Bodily Injury or assault including Terrorism sustained by the Insured Person(s). Engineering Insurance (cover for Damage to Insured and Plant and other Property including Air Receivers, Hot Water Boilers, Calorifiers, Expansion Vessels, Storage Tanks, Runway Tracks, Manual Blocks, Axle Stands, Jacks, Goods Only Lifts, Trolley Jacks and Refuse Collector Hoists, Personnel Hoist, Miscellaneous Tackle, Passenger/Goods Lifts, Winches, Platform Lifts, Harness with Lanyard, Fall Arrester, Vehicle Lifts, Tailboard Lifts, Mobile Elevating Work Platform and Stairlifts, Bearing Press, Motors, Generators, Pumps, Control Panels, Submersible Pump and Air Handling Units); Engineering Inspection Services (Inspections of plant and equipment by engineers to meet statutory and other legal requirements and an appropriate Electronic Records Management system for the retention and management of Inspection Certificates and Reports). ‘All Risks’ of accidental loss or damage including theft and “in transit” in respect of Gallery and Museum Exhibits of every description and/or Civic Plate and regalia comprising silver and gold items and/or other historic pieces and/or Works of Art of whatsoever nature forming part of the Council’s collection and/or on loan. “Package” in respect of Lots 1, 3 and 4 only.
