Tender description

The aim of the young parents support service is to ensure that all young parents in Cornwall are offered support in order to reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for children. Like all parents, young parents want the best for their children but the demand of caring for them, whilst they themselves are making the transition from young people to young adults, are significant, and is why these families require additional support. The service contributes towards the Local Authorities Children’s Services Ofsted requirements and as well as the Childcare Act 2006, Section 3. This procurement was undertaken in accordance with the light touch regime. The objectives of this service are to provide the appropriate support based on an assessment of need to all young parents and prospective young parent families in Cornwall.
