Tender description

The requirement is for design, testing, qualification, manufacture and supply of capability to provide a non-electrical means of ignition of safety fuse. Quantities of the product must fit within a cylindrical plastic container, of dimension 54 mm length and 28 mm diameter, and will be waterproof. The product must be ignited by striking against a friction pad.The product must sustain capability to ignite for 7 seconds before self-extinguishing. Indicative and approximate forecast requirements are 5 000 units per month, equating to 60 000 units per year.
