Tender description

IP SNE framework for control period 6, containing two (2) lots for the delivery of geotechnical renewals and enhancements works, primarily across the Scotland and North East Region (which is divided into the Scotland and LNE&EM routes). The frameworks are nil-value NR13C Framework Commission Agreements. Each lot includes the opportunity for the re-opening of competition between the framework Suppliers in respect of works within the scope of the framework which are not directly awarded to a framework supplier. Lot 1 of the IP SNE CP6 Geotechnical Works Framework engages a contractor for delivery of geotechnical requirements within the Scotland and North East region, which is divided into the Scotland, London North East (LNE) and East Midlands (EM) routes, or any successor or Department of Network Rail. Lot 1 will focus primarily on LNE/EM requirements but is not restricted as such. The framework is nil value. However, whilst there is no committed value of works to be delivered, the indicative value of Lot 1 is 47 000 000 GBP. The maximum indicative value for Lot 1 is 150 000 000 GBP. However, in the event of exceptional circumstances, including but not limited To the insolvency of a Framework Contractor or termination of a framework contract for one of the other lots, Network Rail may award further works under lot 1 (i.e. with a value beyond 150 000 000 GBP) provided that the total indicative framework value of 450 000 000 GBP is not exceeded. Lot 2 of the IP SNE CP6 Geotechnical Works Framework engages a contractor for delivery of geotechnical requirements within the Scotland and North East region, which is divided into the Scotland, London North East (LNE) and East Midlands routes, or any successor or Department of Network Rail. Lot 2 will focus primarily on Scotland requirements but is not restricted as such. The framework is nil value. However, whilst there is no committed value of works to be delivered, the indicative value of Lot 2 is 100 000 000 GBP. The maximum indicative value for Lot 2 is 300 000 000 GBP. However, in the event of exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to the insolvency of a Framework Contractor or termination of a framework contract for one of the other lots, Network Rail may award further works under Lot 2 (i.e. with a value beyond 300 000 000 GBP) provided that the total indicative framework value of 450 000 000 GBP is not exceeded.
