Demonstration of Energy Efficiency Potential

Tender description

BEIS is intending to procure research to quantify how installing multiple insulation measures can improve the thermal energy efficiency of the existing housing stock. The research will also investigate the risk associated with individual and combined retrofit measures and assess the need for complimentary technologies to mitigate this risk. The research will include desk-based studies in conjunction with in-situ measurements in occupied and unoccupied homes, laboratory testing of UK building materials and hygrothermal computer simulations. An ITT with the full research requirement will be published in due course. Interested parties should register their interest for this work and will be invited to a supplier engagement day in London prior to ITT publication.
