Tender description

Newcastle University is constructing a new building called the catalyst building to co-host the National Institute for Aging and the National Institute for Data. It will be an innovation centre, home to businesses in rented office space and commercial project partners. The centre will also offer a range of specialist facilities available for hire and will also welcome members of the public to exhibitions, events, citizen insights activities and the café. It is expected that the building will be used outside of normal working hours, with regular evening and weekend events. This tender is to appoint a Contractor to provide building management services and marketing support typical of an Innovation Centre and detailed in II.2.4 below. This is a contract with a single provider to services over a 4 year period. The services generally comprise Front-of-house’s services including: building reception, tenancy liaison and management including attracting new tenants suitable for the building and its objectives, building animation including events and activities and attracting events and activities in line with the objectives of the building, liaison with university back off services such as estates maintenance, AV, computing, cleaning, catering and security services, etc.
