Tier 3 Weight Management Services for West Essex

West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to establish a single Provider contract for the provisions of Tier 3 Weight Management Services. Tier 3 weight management services provides the link between Tier 1 and 2 environmental and population-wide services and lifestyle interventions and Tier 4 Specialist Bariatric Surgical Services. Access to Tier 4 is dependent on completion of the Tier 3 service programme. This service seeks to provide a safe and effective high-quality weight management service which supports patients to achieve clinically significant weight loss through safe and sustainable means. The service will be delivered in a multi-disciplinary approach to addressing behavioural, psychological and clinical challenges faced by obese individuals. The contract duration is 60 months. The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). As such, the procurement of the Services is being run as a bespoke, single stage application process akin to the Open procedure, involving a number of stages which are outlined within the suite of procurement documents. The Contracting Authority does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 Services.
