Tender description
This potential requirement is for the provision of a fully operational, accessible passenger vehicle which can be used to transport individuals with mobility needs and mobility aids (including wheelchairs and mobility scooters) for Transport for London's Dial-a-Ride Service. Further information on Dial-a-Ride can be found on: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/dial-a-ride/ Transport for London are specifically seeking an electric vehicle, with a battery that has AC and rapid DC charging capabilities. There are a number of additional minimum requirements, that can be accessed through TfL's e-tendering portal (see description below). Please note that this PIN is not a call for competition. TfL are seeking proposals for an electric vehicle that is suitable for use for Transport for London's Dial-a-Ride service. The vehicle will be required to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters (up to class 2). Please note that only fully tested, certified and production ready vehicles will be considered. Working prototypes will not be considered. This prior information notice is being used as a medium for Transport for London to identify interested parties prior to a potential call for competition in order to better understand the market capabilities. Interested parties are required to register on the Transport for London e-tendering portal, ProContract, which can be found at the following address: https://procontract.due-north.com Interested parties should search for opportunity titled on Dial-a-Ride Electric Vehicles and express their interest in order to access further documents relating to this requirement, including the minimum requirements. The deadline for expressions of interest is 31.1.2020, however TfL reserve the right to issue a tender before this date. The contracting authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part or not at all as a result of any call for competition. The contracting authority shall not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by any bidders in responding to this notice or in tendering for the proposed contract(s). This PIN is issued solely for the purposes of the market engagement. No information contained in this PIN, or provided during and for the market engagement exercise, constitutes any commitment by TfL or any member of the TfL group or any of it's or their stakeholders to undertake any procurement exercise in the future.
