Tender description

Southern Water are looking to increase on-site electricity generation via a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Southern Water are seeking to potentially establish a contract(s) via a Solar PPA to increase electricity generation on Southern Water sites using a combination of ground-mounted, floating and rooftop solar arrays (site dependent). At this time we are only releasing a request for information (RFI) and periodic indicative notice (PIN) and are not currently requesting expressions of interest. The RFI can be found on Southern Water's e-Sourcing system under the current opportunities section, listed as 'Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)' reference: prj_1696, and is open to all parties. It can be found at: https://southernwater.bravosolution.co.uk/ The RFI will be used to gain information from the market and to support the sourcing strategy and long-term management of the contract. All queries relating to the RFI must be submitted via the sourcing portal using the messaging facility. The contract type has been answered 'Services' but the nature of a Solar PPA may incorporate elements of 'Works' and 'Supplies' too. Whilst the answer to whether this contract will be lotted was selected as 'No', this has yet to be defined and will be an outcome of the strategy. Our indicative time-frame for the release of the contract notice as per this PIN is 1.5.2020 but this is subject to change and not guaranteed.
