Provision of Consultancy Services for Design, Planning and Construction of Sports Floodlighting at Cappagh Park All-Weather Pitch

Galway City Council (the Client) as the Contracting Authority is seeking to procure a Engineering led design and planning team to deliver a sports floodlighting project from design and planning through to construction completion and handover. The works will include the provision of sports floodlighting at the existing all-weather pitch in Cappagh Park, Cappagh Road, Galway. The successful consultant's project team shall consist of the following expertise: 1. Lead Engineer (M&E / Civil & Structural) 2. Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (if not lead) 3. Civil & Structural Engineer (if not lead) 4. Planning Consultant 5. Environmental Consultant 6. Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) 7. Employers Representative The successful tenderer will be required to: • Perform the role of Designer, Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), and Employer’s Representative for the project. • Procure and manage the delivery of topographical survey. • Prepare a detailed design for the sports floodlighting, to include a full LUX lighting assessment and plan. • Undertake a Stage 1 Screening for Appropriate Assessment. • Proceed to Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment (if required). • Prepare and submit a planning application, including accompanying documentation and drawings, to the planning authority for statutory approval under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations. • Undertake stakeholder and public consultation as part of the planning process. • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and cost report for the works. • Prepare tender documents using the relevant Public Works Contracts. • Coordinate with the PSCS, the Contractor and the Design Team to prepare the Safety File; and handover finished site to Galway City Council once works have been completed.
