Tender description

Slough Borough Council seek insurance services excluding broker services for the following: property; leaseholder. This tender is to be completed electronically using the SE Shared Services Procurement eSourcing portal. https://www.sesharedservices.org.uk/esourcing/opportunities The SE Shared Services eSourcing portal provides a web-based tool that provides a simple, secure and efficient means for managing tendering and quotation activities reducing the time and effort required for both buyers and potential bidders. The portal allows for tender clarifications and submitting your bid electronically. In order to bid for this opportunity you will need to register your company on the SE Shared Services portal. Slough Borough Council invites bids for the provision of its property insurance in respect of private dwellings sold on a leasehold basis, the majority of these were under the Right To Buy (RTB) legislation Housing Act 1985. The dwellings are flats in blocks and flats in houses (maisonettes) where the Council still retain the freehold ownership and the leases state that the Council, as the freeholder, will arrange the buildings insurance on behalf of the leaseholder and recharge the premium as part of the service charge. Other flats in some blocks have not been sold (Council tenanted) and are separately insured so insurance cover for these flats are not required. Please note all premiums must be quoted net of insurance premium tax and net of a 20 % administration charge payable to Slough Borough Council (to cover the Council's administration costs) and include market service agreement in accordance with the normal JLT Specialty agreement (3,5 %).
