Tender description

Integrated sexual health services including specialist STI and reproductive health services, psychosexual counselling services and sexual health promotion and HIV prevention services. The contract will commence on 1.1.2020 and shall continue until 31.3.2022. The council published a voluntary ex ante transparency notice (VEAT) notice on the 17.10.2019 to directly award a contract for the provision of integrated sexual health services. The council observed a 10 day standstill period before formally awarding the contract. Extreme urgency due to current provider providing notice that they are unable to deliver the services to the Council’s requirements. This followed a failed competitive procurement exercise in 2018. This timeframe has been informed by discussions with potential replacement providers as to the minimum contract length that would be acceptable and provides a realistic timeframe for the Council to undertake a new procurement exercise for the delivery of these services, in collaboration with local NHS commissioners.
