Tender description

Cumbria County Council are inviting submissions for the provision of housing related support via the positive pathway model to deliver housing related support to young people who are in housing need. It is expected that young people will receive a package of support based on their individual needs, which will be reviewed regularly. This support will enable the young person to move on as a self-sufficient adult, able to manage their own tenancy. The tender will be split into 5 lots across the areas identified by the Council. Lot 1: Allerdale and Copeland; Lot 2: Barrow in Furness; Lot 3: Carlisle; Lot 4: Eden; Lot 5: South Lakeland. Bidders can bid for 1 or more lots and it is envisaged that we will have a maximum of 4 lots awarded to each bidder, however the council may change this at its discretion To provide support within the Allerdale and Copeland area, which shall be delivered flexibly, based on the service user’s presenting needs and challenges. The provider is required to have up to 15 units available at all times. The pathway is designed to enable a smooth transition for service users as they progress towards personal resilience and independent living. The intention of this contract is to commission a successful pathway for young people, not units of support and that parties will work together in a way which enables this. Providers will deliver high quality, non-institutionalised support, which is aspirational in achieving improved individual outcomes for the young people they care for. Providers are encouraged to demonstrate how they can add value to the positive pathway. Fixed price per lot, please see procurement documents. To provide support within the Barrow in Furness area, which shall be delivered flexibly, based on the service user’s presenting needs and challenges. The provider is required to have up to 14 units available at all times. The pathway is designed to enable a smooth transition for service users as they progress towards personal resilience and independent living. Providers will deliver high quality, non-institutionalised support, which is aspirational in achieving improved individual outcomes for the young people they care for.
