Tender description

Soft market testing Bristol City Council is soon to re-procure its tenant energy advise service. Our tenants are generally amongst the poorest households (over 75 % of tenants receive state support to help pay their rent) and have been further affected by reductions in welfare benefits. We have a high proportion of older tenants, large families and tenants with vulnerability issues – making warm, energy efficient homes crucial. The advice service should include, but is not limited to, the following energy topics: — reducing fuel debt, — switching supplier to reduce energy bills, — making best use of heating systems to reduce energy consumption and maintain a warm and healthy home, — claiming fuel discounts and grants (e.g. warm home discount).
