Electric valve actuators

Tender description

The supply of electric actuators for use in the water industry with the actuator being separate to the valve. The actuator shall typically incorporate an electric motor, integral reduction gearing, reversing motor starter, local controls, torque and position limit devices, input contacts for remote control and output contacts for position indication and status monitoring, all housed in a sealed enclosure. The actuators shall comprise the manufacturer’s standard design but as a minimum shall comply with; as applicable, the requirements of Section 3.08 of the water industry mechanical and electrical specification (WIMES) and BS EN ISO 5210; industrial valves, multi turn valve actuator attachments and BS EN ISO 5211 industrial valves, part turn actuator attachments. The procurement includes supply of new units, repair/reconditioning of existing assets and training provision.
