“Edenderry Inner Relief Road – Infill Ground Investigation Contract 2019”.

In connection, with proposals to develop two new inner relief link roads (total length of both link roads = 1.1km) and associated junction realignments north of Edenderry Town, Offaly County Council are seeking to undertake ground / site investigation works along the proposed Inner Relief Route Links. The purpose of this contract is to conduct the detailed ground investigation to progress the detailed design of the scheme. The GI will extend over the entire length of the proposed road development. The Ground Investigation shall include the following: Boreholes, Trial Pits, CBR testing by plate load test, Road cores, Slit Trenches, Sampling and in situ testing, Hand vane testing, DCP testing, Laboratory testing, Soil classification tests and soil reusability tests, surveying of as built location and elevation of all investigation points. (All surveys shall be carried out to the Irish Transverse Mercator Grid). Tenders for the Infill Ground Investigation Contract are therefore invited by Offaly County Council from competent contractors to carry out the required works as per the attached Suitability Assessment of Works Contractor Submission and Tender Documents, which may be downloaded from this website., The Suitability Assessment of Works Contractor Submission, and Tenders in sealed envelopes as per the procedure outlined in the attached ITT for the works endorsed ““Edenderry Inner Relief Road - Infill Ground Investigation Contract 2019” - Edenderry, Co., Offaly, will be received by the Director of Services, Roads and and Transportation, Offaly County Council, Aras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, Co., Offaly, on or before 12:00pm on the 17th of December 2019. Please note the successful contractor will be appointed PSCS for the required works and will also be responsible for any or all of traffic management required for the ground investigation works.
