The Council requires a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake inspections and repairs to various memorials within their twenty three (23) cemeteries throughout the Bradford district. ‘Please note this contract is not for the restoration of memorials. It is to make safe any memorial identified at inspection as a potential risk to the public.’ The Council requires a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake inspections and repairs to various memorials within their twenty three (23) cemeteries throughout the Bradford district. ‘Please note this contract is not for the restoration of memorials. It is to make safe any memorial identified at inspection as a potential risk to the public.’ Bereavement services will provide a rolling programme of works for each cemetery which will detail the memorials that require inspection, there are on average 40 inspections per week. The programme will also provide details of any repairs that have been identified by the Council or a member of public that require undertaking. All inspections/repairs shall be carried out at 1 cemetery at a time unless there is an emergency requirement at a different cemetery. Any emergency requirement shall take priority. The contractor will only be required to inspect/repair the exact amount of memorial’s as specified by the Council. Any additional repairs identified by the contractor shall only be undertaken after obtaining authorisation from the Council. Between 1.4.2018 and 31.3.2019 there were 2220 inspections and 394 repairs carried out.
