Summary of the work Opportunity to work with Energy analyst to help improve their models and applications. Specialist role Business analyst Latest start date Friday 6 December 2019 Maximum Day Rate £250 per day, with a total approved budget up to £66k Who Speclialist Work With The team is embedded with the Analytical community and serves other external departments, but all users are Analysts (Statisticians, Economists, Operational Researchers and Social Researchers). What Specialists Work On 1. Help assess technology paths so other databases and software packages can access SAS. 2. Analyse SAS models and applications to see if their performance and stability can be improved 3. Analyse Energy models requirements to assess whether they are fit for alternative platforms or require development work. Skills & Experience • Experience of working with Energy models such as DDM or NHM - 12 points • Experience of analysing models developed in SAS - 12 points • Experience of capturing requirements from users - 12 points • Experience of working with applications in a cloud environment - 6 points • Experience of communicating complex ideas to many users - 6 points Nice to Haves • Experience of working with SAS - 6 points • Experience of working with government analyst, such as statisticians or economists - 3 point Work Location Westminster, London. Working Arrangments On-site 5 days a week. meetings with users and teams in London offices Security Clearance Willing to undergo Security Clearance (SC) No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria • Able to work in a small multi-skilled team (less than 10) - 6 points • Willing to help develop other colleagues' capability - 3 points • Willing to working within the existing SAS toolset - 3 points • Able to communicate complex solutions in a simple manner for non-technical users - 6 points Assessment Method • Reference • Interview Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 40% Cultural fit 20% Price 40% Questions from Suppliers 1.
