Repair works to towers and frame for Dursey Cable Car

Tender description

The project consists of the following works most of which will have to be carried out at height using roped access and/or scaffolding: • Repair of existing steel gusset plates by welding new plates to the structure making the existing plates redundant; • Replacement of steel angles including temporary works to facilitate replacement; • Replacement of steel parallel flange channels on island anchor frame; • Weld repairs; • Welding structural members to gusset plate to facilitate bolt replacement; • Nut & Bolt replacement; • Replacement of the island pylon access ladder including associated connections; • Fabrication of all replacement components and the application of the specified protective paint system; Works are required to both pylons (mainland and island) and the island station frame.
