Who Speclialist Work With Working with Blue light technical team at the National Maritime Operation Centre What Specialists Work On Configure the AIS base stations and arrange deployment to multiple hilltop radio sites by March 31st 2020. Assist in-house team in the SCCM deployment for the Windows 10 major update to 146 Coastguard workstations by February 28th 2020. Install and update latest critical security updates to 146 Coastguard workstations by 30th November 2019. Decommission 150 legacy coastguard workstations, this should safe disposal and removal of hardware from the asset register by December 31st 2019. Reduce the blue light application open calls by 25 by March 31st 2020. Where the Work Takes Place National Maritime Operations Centre Unit 12 Kites Croft Business Park Segensworth Fareham PO14 4LW Travel may be required to coastal remote radio sites anywhere in the UK Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements 9am-5pm Monday - Friday onsite To enable access to mission critical systems located at the National Maritime Operations Centre - Remote access is not available There may be a requirement to work the occasional weekend during installation and testing to fit in with search and rescue requirements. Work Location National Maritime Operations Centre Unit 12 Kites Croft Business Park Segensworth Fareham PO14 4LW Travel may be required to coastal remote radio sites anywhere in the UK Security Clearance Must have current SC clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Must have experience of routing and processing of Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) messages. Must have current active SC Clearance or could achieve this quickly. Flexibility to travel to any one of our national locations if required. Active Directory and Windows Server administration using 2008, 2012 and 2016 server operating systems, including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy. Knowledge of LAN/WAN configuration and protocols including IP Subnetting, vlans, Spanning Tree, GRE, IKE/IPSEC, VoIP and multicast Ability to exchange information with peers, stakeholders and service providers to explain complex issues in day to day language for non-technical staff. Ability to analyse service requests, incidents and problems, explore options and suggest courses of action. Ability to diagnose incidents and problems passed to us by 3rd Party Triage Team, recording and managing these events within the Incident Management System Administration and support of Windows 7 and Windows10 desktops. First and Second-line hardware fault diagnosis (cabling, switches, routers and firewalls – predominantly Cisco based, but some Juniper included). Knowledge of enterprise management tools such as Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Wireless LAN Controller, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and VMWare vSphere and SCCM packaging. Nice to Haves Experience of working and providing technical support in an Emergency Services or Critical Infrastructure Environment. Windows server administration using VMWare / vSphere. Knowledge of ITIL processes to at least version 3. Knowledge of PKI infrastructure within a Windows environment.
