Tender description

The works comprise part of the phased development of a parkland cemetery on a site of approx 3.8 Ha formerly in agricultural use, of which this is the first phase ('Phase 1B'). This involves the construction of a public car park with approx 100 spaces, a cemetery services building of 60sqm, maintenance soil yard and percolation area, walled walkways in textured concrete and steel pergolas surrounding a garden orchard, main internal cemetery pathways (central axis ‘avenue’ and secondary pathways) and extensive soft landscaping, concrete plinths for approximately 550 headstones, seating, bin shelters and a landscape feature including approximately 400 columbarium walls and memorial plots. Demolition of a stable building attached to adjacent residential land and associated works is also required, with the construction of a brick wall approx 135m along this boundary.
