Installation of Pontoon System and Gangway Access at Belview Port

Tender description

Supply, fabrication and installation of 2 nr 457mm diameter and 7 nr 711mm diameter steel tubular piles socketed into bedrock. Piles will vary in length from approximately 11.50 metres to 40.50 metres. Supply, fabrication, galvanising and installation of a 28.50 metre long gangway. Alterations to the existing approximately 20 metres long gangway which provides access to the existing pontoon system from the Quays in Waterford City. Concrete works comprising a pile cap and a bank seat and associated earthworks, service ducts and reinstatement and other works on the bank. Assembling the pontoon system at Belview, moving it from the wharves at Belview to the permanent location and installing the system there. Note that the Port of Waterford Company will disassemble the pontoon system and the gangway in Waterford, transport them to Belview, refurbish the pontoons there and then hand them over to the Contractor for moving them to the permanent site, reassembly and installation All associated brackets and fixings.
