Tender description

Islington Council invites suitable expressions of interest from providers for a framework agreement for the provision of one to one (1:1) support, day opportunities and activities for people with disabilities. This will include: One to One (1:1) Support for people with low to moderate needs; One to One (1:1) Support with enhanced requirements around physical health needs; One to One (1:1) Support with enhanced requirements around challenging behaviour, complex autism (with or without LD) and mental health; and Day opportunities and activities. Our vision is for people with disabilities to lead safe, happy and meaningful lives: — we want people to have ready access to a range of high-quality, local, community-based services that build on independent living skills and facilitate access to meaningful, age-appropriate activity that draws on peoples’ interests, — we want people to be able to choose from this range of services when they need it and for this support to be flexible to changing needs, including reducing or ending when it is no longer required, and — we want services to be able to support people from childhood, into adolescence and through to adulthood; reducing the amount of change and the number of transition points that young people experience. This framework agreement is intended to develop a wider range of local services. Providers will therefore ensure, where applicable, that the service has activity bases in Islington or within a suitable distance to minimise transport time and transport costs.
