Tender description

Leicestershire County Council (LCC) wishes to procure a residential overnight short break service for those young people that meet the criteria for the service. The service is to include provision for young people with behaviours that challenge and complex health needs. It is intended that children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 will be accessing the service. The primary aim of the service is to provide high-quality residential short breaks care to children and young people with severe learning disabilities and complex health care needs who are assessed as needing such a service by Leicestershire County Council, children and family service (CFS). This will include short term care for periods up to 17 consecutive days and both overnight and day care for children and young people. It must also include in some cases emergency provision. The Diana Community Nursing Service support those children with complex health care needs, during their residential short break which includes training for staff and review updates.
