Tender description

The Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) intends to commence a tender competition to commission a competent body to lead an intensive intervention programme targeting children and young people engaged in, or at risk of being engaged in criminal networks. The purpose of the intervention will be to reduce the effect of network influence and to actively encourage targeted young people toward pro-social trajectories. The pilot intervention will take place for 3 years in two localities and, if deemed successful, may be mainstreamed and/or appropriately extended. An invitation to a briefing session hosted by DCYA is extended to competent bodies which may be interested in bidding and have significant experience of working successfully with young people: involved in repeat crime; subject to the influence of criminal networks; with family systems subject to the influence of criminal networks and with neighbourhood and community systems subject to the influence of criminal networks. At this session, the Department will outline the conceptual model for the intervention. To ensure transparency all briefing supplied by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and an anonymised record of the discussion - queries and answers - will be made available to all bodies who have registered their interest in the matter via the e-tenders system whether present at this market testing exercise or not. The Department will respond to queries and clarifications by potential bidders. Queries submitted prior to the briefing session should only relate to arrangements for that session. This briefing session will be held as follows: Venue: Department of Children and Youth Affairs, Block 1, Miesian Plaza, 50-58 Baggot St., Dublin 2 Date/Time: Monday, 16th December 2019 @ 3pm. Please note that a maximum of 3 attendees from each organisation can be accommodated. On-site parking will not be available.
