A new Deodorising Unit equipment capable of deodorization of various edible oils in the last step of refining process are required to facilitate this. Process optimization and potential scale up is seen as essential by the food industry. The main features of the Deodorising Unit equipment should be user friendly which can be used to investigate for remove FFA and volatile odiferous components present in the bland and odourless oil. This processing capability along with process optimisation and potential scale up is seen as essential by the food industry. The main features of the Deodorising Unit will be to have advanced control system to monitor temperature, pressure, quantity of direct steam and process time.
