Construction of Grass Playing Field, Onchan Park Recreation Ground

Construction of an amenity grass playing area suitable for football and other use. [Converting an old bowling green into an community green space] The old bowling green at Onchan Park Recreation Ground is no longer used for bowls. The Council working in partnership with the friends of Onchan Park wish to refurbish the green and transform it into an area for amenity use. Previously the green consisted of fine turf with a sandy soil to aid drainage. We now require this surface to be improved to provide a more robust turf area for community use. We are applying for external funding, a decision is expected in February 2020 and if successful the funding will need to be committed by end of March 2020, therefore your quotation costs must be valid until end of March 2020.
